Those of you who came to see us at Cafe Nadery know what a happening scene it was. And so, Cafe Nadery has invited us to come back and bring in the new year.
Mitra Sumara will perform at the Cafe Naderyon New Year's Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
We'll be playing funky, rhythmic, psychedelic songs from pre-revolutionary Iran. Yes, it's Persian pop music from the 1960s and early '70s.
Tickets are $75 per person, for dinner, concert and two glasses of Prosecco.
Yvette Perez will sing the tragic and romantic lyrics in the original Farsi, Peter Zummo will play trombone, Julian Maile will play guitar, Jim Duffy will play keys, and Michael Evans will play drums and percussion. And we will have a special guest.
The Cafe Nadery is a new, cozy spot that serves delicious Iranian food and culture. I hope you'll come down and check it out!
