Come join Mitra Sumara and the Amir Vahab Ensemble on Saturday, March 29, at Drom, 85 Avenue A, East Village, Manhattan, NYC. It's a Noruz festival -- the Persian new year -- and we'll be bringing you the old and the new.
Mitra Sumara will perform pre-revolutionary Farsi pop and funk from the 1960s and early '70s. This eight-piece band brings high energy to this repertoire of uncovered gems.
And Amir Vahab and his group will take a more traditional approach to Persian folk music.
